What is a Soul Awakening?

What is a soul awakening? Ask five people and you’ll get five very different answers, but similar among them will be an overwhelming feeling of peace, letting go, and accepting what the universe has given you, despite—or maybe because of—the struggles and traumas you may have faced to get there. Your Soul Awakening is the theme around which we’ve built our 2018 cruise, and for good reason.

In the conference room aboard the ship, Deck 2 Forward.

Is food and drink included in the price?

The Main Dining Room offers complimentary, multi-course dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. More complimentary options include Windjammer Café, Jade Sushi, Sorrento's Pizza, Café Promenade, and FREE room service between 5:00 AM-11:59 PM.

Is there long-term parking available at the port?

Parking is available at all cruise terminals at the port. Please call ahead for a per-day quote. They accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or any major U.S. Traveler's Check. No debit cards are accepted. Offsite parking is generally available at lower rates, however we are unable to provide information on those options.

Can I arrange a special session with one of the presenters or practitioners?

Yes, and appointments and payments are made directly with the presenter or practitioner during the cruise. Cash is the preferred payment method by some presenters and practitioners. For you convienience, an ATM machine is located onboard the ship. There is a transaction fee plus any other fees your financial institution would charge for using the ATM.

Can I use my mobile phone at sea?

Royal Caribbean has an advanced roaming network called Cellular at Sea available, allowing you to place and receive calls, voice mail, text messages and GPRS data using your own cell phone. Cost for Cellular at Sea is not included in the cost of cruise. Per minute rate applies; carrier rates may apply; roaming fees may apply. Other restrictions and limitations may apply. For additional information, please visit: www.cellularatsea.com

Is internet available?

Wi-Fi access will be available for purchase while on the ship, and Internet stations are available onboard. Prices for internet access vary and are subject to change. Log on to the network "royal-wifi" using your device, open your browser and follow instructions to log on. You may also order Wi-Fi access during online registration, which is normally cheaper than purchasing Wi-Fi onboard.

When will I receive my tickets?

Online registration will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to departure. At this time you will be able to pre-register with Royal Caribbean and print your boarding pass and baggage tags. You will also be able to pre-register for excursions, spa treatments, and special events at this time.

When do we embark and disembark?

Note the following carefully when making your flight reservations. The ship departs Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018. You must arrive at the pier at least 90 minutes prior to departure in order to board.

We highly recommend you arrive into Fort Lauderdale on Friday, February 16, one day prior to sailing so you will be assured to arrive at the ship on time on Saturday, February 17. Boarding begins on Sunday, February 17, about noon (as soon as Customs clears the ship).

The Royal Caribbean Freedom will return to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, early in the morning of February 25 and disembarkation will begin about 8:30 a.m. Everyone is generally off the ship by approximately 10 a.m. RCL recommends that you schedule a return flight from Fort Lauderdale International Airport at 11:30 a.m. or later. International guests should allow an extra 60-90 minutes.

What clothing should I pack?

Light, casual clothing is suggested. Remember your swimwear, and if you plan to participate in yoga or other exercise classes, we suggest loose cotton clothing or other comfortable attire. You'll also want low-heeled, rubbersoled shoes for strolling on deck, as well as comfortable walking shoes or sandals to wear.

Bring a sweater, a jacket or an all-weather coat for cool evenings, and for shore excursions, depending on your destination. After 6:00 pm, jeans, t-shirts, shorts, and bare feet are discouraged in the ships' public areas. The ship has two gala nights for optional evening attire at dinner. Typically, on these two nights at dinner there is a range from “smart casual” or business attire to formal wear. The weather is generally warm at this time of year, but it can be cool and breezy in the mornings and evenings out on the deck. Also, although all cabins are air conditioned and individually controlled, we are not able to control the temperature in the public spaces such as the dining room and lecture rooms, which may be cool, so a sweater or light jacket is recommended.
